Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), a Central University, is an active member of the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the University as ‘A++’. The Vishwavidyalaya is named after Guru Ghasidas, a sixteenth century satnami saint. University campus is spread over 656 acres of land. Nature has bestowed campus with unmatchable beauty, immaculate blend of green areas and water bodies. The university offers opportunities to young minds and facilitates the accomplishment of their creativity talent with emphasis on character building through various streams of knowledge. The University comprises of 32 University Teaching Departments including the seven department of Engineering & Technology. The University offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, besides diploma. To maximize students’ potential, the University has been providing excellent support facilities like hostels, cafeteria, gymnasium, amenities centre and Wi-Fi connectivity and also arranging various classes: remedial, spoken English, yoga and free coaching for competitive Examinations for overall personality grooming to face the challenges of contemporary requirements.

The School of Studies of Engineering & Technology (Formerly named Institute of Technology) was established in the year 1997 for promoting the technical education and to provide professionally qualified technical personnel to face competitive and entrepreneurial challenges. With the help of well qualified and experienced faculty, modern teaching aids, rich library, well equipped laboratories, computer facilities, other necessary infrastructure and modern amenities, the Institute is committed to produce career ready graduates who are immediately employable, self- reliant, self-esteemed & ethical to serve the nation.  In every academic year, many of our students qualify in various examinations like GATE, GRE, TOEFL, CAT etc. and are placed at various Govt., PSUs, MNCs and / or are progressing education in various institutes of repute.

Courses offered in the School of Studies of Engineering and Technology, G.G.V. Bilaspur

Institute offers M.Tech program in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Information Technology and Mechnical Engineering with the intake of 23 in each program except Chemical Engineering with 11 seats.

Hostel Fee Structure (To be revised):

Limited Hostel Accomodation available at University Hostel. 

Allotment on the basis of merit and seats as per reservation policy.

(i) First Year: Rs. 10000 + 2000 Caution money (refundable) = Rs. 12000/- + Advance Mess fee of Three months (Rs. 10110/-)

(ii) Second Year: Rs. 10000/- + Mess Charges

(iii) Third Year: Rs. 10000/- + Mess Charges

(iv) Fourth Year: Rs. 10000/- + Mess Charges
